  15. In a related question, why is there an upper limit on acceptable
  16. values of tab-width?  When it is set to any value above 20, Emacs
  17. seems to ignore it altogether and use 8 instead.

  19. Believe it or not, I *have* on occasion wished to use tab-width's of
  20. 25 or more.  Does anyone know what's behind this limit of 20?
