- Anyway, modems use something called "flow control" to (you guessed it)
- control the flow of data. There are two kinds: "hardware" which uses a
- special hardware line; and "software", also known as XON/XOFF for
- "transmit on/transmit off". The C-s character is the XOFF code, the
- C-q character is the XON code. You need to either bind new keys to do
- C-s and C-q functions, or something else equally funky.
