  19. You may want to take a look at Liant's FIGraph, a charting and graphing
  20. function library built on top of PHIGS.  It comes with both a C and a FORTRAN
  21. binding and it does lines, bars, pies, contours, and surfaces in addition
  22. to scatter plots.  Since FIGraph sits on top of PHIGS, it works great
  23. in an X environment, though you're not forced into an X only environment.
