  11.  yesterday I tried to compile using the news gcc 2.3.1 compiler.
  12.  while compiling modules in the lib subdirectory for shared use a 
  13.  number of modules generate an internal compiler error.

  15.  this is caused by the fpic option when the address of function is assigned
  16.  a location in a callback table.
  17.  
  18.  Has anyone successfully built X11 in this environment for a sun.
  19.  I sent a bug report to gnu but havnet heard back yet.
