- I think we are witnessing the first virus that doesn't require any
- special code to operate. Just look at the sci.crypt forum. After
- Dorothy Denning's talk at the last NCSC conference about registering
- crypto keys with the goverment, there has been a tremendous response
- (mostly angry) on sci.crypt; the other day I checked the forum and
- there were 450 new postings since a day or two previous. Now postings
- are starting to be cross posted to the risks and privacy forums.

- This is sort of like the IBM XMAS virus, but it doesn't take any code.
- All you have to do is post a highly controversial item on a well-read
- forum, and wait for the responses to bring the network to its knees.
