- Hi folks,
-
- I need some advise on compiling codes under ALPHA M500.
-
- First of ALL what is OSF/1 T1.2-1 based on? Is this
- a SYSV4 MUCH BSD POSIX ULTRIX? !combination!
-
- Compiling is no problem, executing is the problem.
-
- to be more specific: I have tried to compile
- tcsh 6.00 or 6.01 or 6.02 on Alpha but the
- binary when run gives me error when I use pipes
- i.e. ls -CF | more
-
- this is the error I get:
-
- tcsh: setpgid error (Not owner).
- or
- tcsh: setpgid error
-
-
- X11R5 was compiled with no problem with some tweaking
- but I have not run it yet so I would not know the result yet!
-
- I compiled ghostview and gs to view OSF documents
- for tuning OSF but I got billions of errors like:
-
- Unaligned access pid=14523 <gs> va=1400370e4 reg=27 type=ldq pc=120064848 ra=120059104
-
-
- So if some OSF,ALPHA guys/gals can give me a call or email me some hints
- on how to play with this new beast, I would be appreciated!
-
- Thanks alot
