  12. For historical reasons and to keep some people happy I want to run
  13. calendar every night. Since we use automounter it has to mount everybody it
  14. wants to check and I think this is what is causing the problems.
  15. I decided to run it on one machine only(so as not to get multiple copies)
  16. and on a machine that everyone had access to, so as automount would recognise
  17. them as valid users(from catpw)(we use Yellow Pages). 
  18. It has problems when run from this single machine as it gives the error
  19.  
  20.     gnode: table is full

  22. When I think about it the automounter would have to make about 400 mounts,
  23. which is a lot! So my questions
  24.  
  25. 1. Is it worth running calendar(as root) from cron with automount and YP?
  26. 2. If not, what's best to replace it? (at?)
  27. 3. If the kernel needs tuning but could someone tell me what needs changed?
