- Well, I'm not from dec, but part of your post warranted a followup...

- This one irritates me too, but I have no doubt that when push comes to shove,
- I will be able to make my saledude so miserable if he doesn't get a workable
- solution, that small miracles will occur... Worked before :)

-
- I dont' know what the expected dec jobmix is, but on my 2 240's with
- RZ25's, RZ26's, RZ57's, HP97560's, Micropolis 1528's, and RZ55's,
- disk performance has been uniformly improved. In most of my cases, nearly
- a factor of 3.
-
- 1 machine is used as a server for 5 xterminals that see some moderate usage
- from graduate students doing program development, that same node also
- functions as the campus newsserver, and a medium sized FTP site.
- No problems so far.
-
- The other machine is my machine, dual HX cards, RZ25 disks, and other
- stuff, and disk performance on it is improved as well. The mix on my
- machine is probably much more eclectic than the "average" workstation mix,
- and I'm not having any problems.\
-
- For what it's worth, I congratulate DEC on the 4.3 release. Nice work
- dudes and dudettes...
