  30. PROBLEM: When I execute "startx" to invoke the X server, I get the error:
  31.         
  32.         "Can not open event driver: No such file or directory"
  33.  
  34.      I am then returned back to a system prompt.
  35.  
  36. SOLUTION: You must run "mkdev mouse" to add the event driver devices to your
  37.       system.  The mouse support, utilized by SCO Xsight, is implemented 
  38.       using an event driver.  A mouse must be installed to create the 
  39.       event devices.

  41.       You can test to see if your mouse is installed correctly by 
  42.       executing the command usemouse(C) while in multiuser mode.  After 
  43.       executing usemouse(C), you should be able to move the mouse and 
  44.       see the cursor move around.  To exit usemouse(C), type "exit."

  46.       If an error message occurs after running usemouse(C), be sure you
  47.       are in multiuser mode and that a mouse is configured properly on
  48.       your system.  You may want to remove and reinstall your mouse with 
  49.       "mkdev mouse."  See your System Administrator's Guide for more 
  50.       information about mouse installation.
