  13. I just upgraded from the X11R3 that came with ISC 2.2.1 to XFree86.

  15. The problem I'm having is that XFree xterms don't set the LINES
  16. environment variable like the X11R3 xterms did.  This causes things like
  17. vi and more to think I have a very large window when I don't.  
  18.  
  19. Other systems seem to use the rows setting of stty, but ISC, at least
  20. in my version doesn't support rows.

  22. Anyway I can get this set automatically?  Its a pain to have to remember
  23. to type setenv LINES all the time.
