  18. Are well-known brands of modems worth the price?

  20. I have noticed a considerable price difference between
  21. the "big name" brands of modems (like Hayes & Telebit),
  22. and the lesser-known ones with similar capabilities.
  23. Are there any advantages to paying extra money for a
  24. big name brand of modem?

  26. Two modems I'm presently considering purchasing are the
  27. Logicode Quicktel 1414XV, and a similar one from Boca.
  28. If anybody thinks this would be a poor choice, please
  29. let me know.
