  12. I don't know if this is the area to ask this question or not, but I have some 
  13. very specific needs for an Internet connection. I belong to an organization
  14. that would like to get grant funding for an Internet connection, and we have
  15. the necessary papers to get the funding, now all we need is some information. 
  16. Specifically:

  18. We want to fire up a UNIX box running 386BSD, with telnettable and FTPable
  19. access from the outside world. We want this Unix box to be able to talk to a
  20. 900Mb DOS box, either by serial link, or by LAN link, to share files that
  21. exist on the DOS box, but not the Unix box. The DOS box is running a three
  22. line dialup BBS at this time, and we'd like the DOS box's filebase to be
  23. accessable to the internet for FTP/Telnet purposes. Also, from the Unix side, 
  24. if it would be possible for someone calling in on a Telnet connection to
  25. access the DOS BBS. If it's possible to get all this WITHOUT a Unix box, then 
  26. that would be great, but something tells me it isn't. The Unix system (if
  27. needed) would also act as a Usenet gateway for the organization in question.

  29. Has anyone done a porposal like this before? Is it possible? What sort of
  30. hardware/software are needed for a 19,200 bps Internet link? Does anyone have 
  31. somewhere I can go for more information? Prices on Hardware/software?
