- I am interested in decent spreadsheet programs which run under Unix - preferably with
- X or OpenLook.
-
- There are some simple visicalc type programs available - they're OK, but not really
- acceptable these days. Does anyone know of decent tools like this.
-
- In particular, I want to be able to store text in the spreadsheet, and to sort columns
- etc - rather like Excel - I really don't care too much - I have got Excel and Claris
- running on Macintoshes, but since I use Unix in a Windowing environment most of the
- day it'd be useful to have good applications tools in Unix.
-
- I'm surprised that there isn't more demand for this type of tool.
-
- If this is the wrong newsgroup, please cross post as appropriate.
