- Hello,
-
- could someone point me to literature about the format of the source level
- debugging information that many compilers are able to generate? I.e.
- how are the symbol tables constructed, how does the debugger know a new
- line has begun, etc.
-
- I am aware that there might be different implementations of this. Is there
- perhaps a lib that allows one to write portable compilers? Etc.
-
- I apologize for the dumb question, but the man-pages were little help,
- and I'd rather have a good reference in printed form.
