- My sincerest apologies for posting out of unmittigated ignorance, but I'm in
- a time crunch and need some advice! Is there an application that will run
- a DOS application under HP-UX 8.0 (on 9000/700 machine). The application is
- one that uses a modem and deals with the creation of PCX files. To be
- precise, it is AccuWeather's application for accessing the weather, which
- consists of both ASCII text and PCX format maps. The interface is very
- unsophisticated and I am finding DOS to be a *pain* to deal with to manipulate
- the files we recieve, and also it's difficult to automate the dialing.
- I only have information that SoftPc is a "dog", and am wanting to avoid
- something that is messy, kludgey, and invasive on our nice (working) system.
- Thanks in advance....
