  25. and there is also the gnu project for a public domain fortran 77 
  26. compiler, a.k.a. "g77".  the compiler is currently in alpha test.

  28. info-gnu-fortran list), finger -l fortran@gnu.ai.mit.edu.
  29. this is a true compiler, not a translator.  however, it
  30. relies on gcc for the final pass(es) (at least this is
  31. what i have understood).
