  22. No. I like the speed, in fact. I compiled (a real world application !!?)
  23. the X11R5 stuff, i.e. make World in the "mit" directory. It took 2.5 hours.
  24. A friend told me that this takes 7.5 hour on some HP 73x system,
  25. I am happy with the SCSI driver, and another very important question for me is:

  27.     How do you backup a 540 MB IDE disk, e.g. those from Conner ?

  29. Is somebody (eoahmad ?) using about 400 3.5" high-density floppies ?
  30. OK, with 30% mean compression-rate 280 floppies should do it :-)
  31. That's were all the time goes (sitting and waiting to finish the backup) :-)
  32. I know that there are AT-Bus streamers, however, at least here in
  33. Switzerland, they are twice as much as SCSI streamers !
  34. This way, a real IDE solution is still more expensive, at least for me.
