  12. I'm starting to feel bad asking all the questions and giving none 
  13. of the answers but I have yet another problem that'd I'd like 
  14. assistance with. When I fire up XFree86 I get a couple of minutes
  15. use after which the keyboard either hangs completely or at best 
  16. behaves erratically. By erratically I mean that it freezes for a 
  17. few seconds and then responds or it will only respond to the enter
  18. key etc. etc. There is only a problem with keyboard input - all 
  19. output to the xterm is fine and I can cut and paste with the mouse.
  20. The window manager stays alive through all this. The problem is 
  21. unlikey to be hardware related since the problem only occurs when
  22. I run X. I have used twm and olwm with the same results. I have 
  23. used the binary distribution of XFree86 and also recompiled it 
  24. from scratch. Same results!

  26. If anyone can shine some light on this situation for me I'd 
  27. appreciate it: this is all that's stopping me from having a 
  28. working system :(
