- First off, I'll say that I do not have any real networks on my machine. (sniff)
- With that out of the way:
-
- In the past, when I've been testing different programs, etc, I have done a
- "telnet 0" to connect to my machine and log in as a different user. I've done
- this many times without problems.
-
- Recently, something happened to my machine (no, I never could figure out what),
- and I had to reinstall the binary distribution. I did this off of the same
- disks that I originally used. Now, when I "telnet 0" I'll connect to my
- machine, but I can't type anything at the "login:" prompt. Anyone experienced
- anything like this?
