  11. Ok, the time has come.  My bank account is screaming in agony at the
  12. thought of the up coming dollar-ectamy, but it's inevitable now.

  14. I'm going to buy a 486 to run 386BSD, but I've got a few questions
  15. first.

  17.   1) Can IDE controllers and SCSI controllers (Adaptec 1542B) be used
  18.      in the same machine?

  20.   2) How long will it be before VESA support is rolled in to 386BSD?
  21.      (The price difference is not that big $100-$200 and there's a
  22.       HUGE difference in graphics throughput)

  24.   3) Does anyone have a favorite mail-order place that has good
  25.      prices?

  27.   4) Does anyone know of any place to definitely avoid?

  29.   5) Does anyone know of any computers (or motherboards) to prefer

  32. BTW, I'm an experienced 386BSD person.  I borrowed a 386-40 and I'm
  33. using it with very few problems.  But it's time to get my own }:-)
