  17. Well, Linux's standard copyright is the Free Software Foundation's
  18. GPL, whereas the 386bsd's standard copyright basically says "you
  19. cannot remove this copyright".  In the long run, the GPL is a better
  20. copyright, because it prevents people from making proprietary
  21. improvements.  IMHO, of course.
