  26. I have 386BSD :) working fine on a Compaq Deskpro 386/20 with their standard
  27. ESDI controller an a miniscribe drive. I did have some problems making a custom
  28. partition for swap but the standard install works fine.

  30. I may have goofed the custom installation attempt -- I still dunno what went 
  31. wrong or why -- the jest of it was that, after installing a custom partition
  32. (20 Mb swap, / and /usr partitions...) and transfered the Fixit floppy (std
  33. distr), the machine would partially boot off of the hard drive (you'd see the
  34. banner, all the interfaces up to and including npx0 but then nothing else).
