- Stuff like this would increase the complexity and size of 'tc' dramatically.

- Again, is it to much to ask that if it's written on a compression drive
- that it be read on one as well. IMHO having a compression drive and
- not using the compression capability is a bit insane... UNLESS, of course,
- you'll be slugging the tape between different tape drives and machines.

- If that's the case, then all machines should have had the same-type drives
- in the 1st place :)

- There's a jumper on the Archives that can enable/disable compression as
- well as using Mode Select (which overrides the jumper)...
