  35. Im not sure on the compatability issue, but you should price drives and
  36. tapes for the number of tapes you want.  Random pricing for me turned
  37. up $800 or so for a QIC drive, and $50 per 525MB tape.  It takes like
  38. 6G worth of backup before it hits the breakeven point with DAT.

  40. While people are addressing the tape issue, which DAT drives do y'all
  41. prefer?  Im looking for a drive that will work with A/UX, Windows NT,
  42. VMS and NeXTstep (nothing like low volume oddballs eh? :-)   -Steve
