  15. Yes.  Both C='s A2410 and the DMI Resolver.  Note that both use an
  16. 8-bit color map with a 24-bit palette.  This means 256 colors out of a
  17. palette of 16 million.

  19. I don't know of any cards with full 24-bit support, although the
  20. Vivid24 (also from DMI) might fit the bill -- I don't wanna say for
  21. sure, 'cuz I'm not positive.

  29. No, not really.  Generally X Windows is not structured correctly.
  30. This is being addressed by the MIT group doing the development, and
  31. _may_ appear in Release 6, but I wouldn't count on it.  This
  32. requirement means that modularity of low-level graphics handling needs
  33. to be better coordinated with higher-level operations.
