- I was wondering if I could get some help from reader's of this group.
-
- I'm trying to determine the best way to set up individual user accounts so
- that they can either log into our IBM X-Stations and get a graphical front
- end into the system, or log in through the network and get a useable command
- line interface.
-
- I'm sure there are lots of people doing exactly this, how are you accomplishing
- it? What login shells are you using? If /bin/csh what does the .login look
- like? If /bin/sh what does the .profile look like? Do you have a system wide
- .profile or .login that can be changed in a single place to update all users to
- new changes?
-
- Thanks for all the help. E-mailing me is probably the best way to handle
- things and I'll post summaries if there is interest. However, I read the group
- frequently.
