  13. Has anybody ever seen the following problem:

  15. If you define an additional volume group besides the rootvg consisting of one or
  16. more disks, you are able to create a new filesystem and mount this filesystem.
  17. If you reboot your machine your volume group seems to be available, but you
  18. are no longer able to mount the filesystem. The error message from the mount
  19. command is something like "the media seems to be unformated". 
  20.  
  21. The only way to proceed is to redefine the volume group, create the filesystem
  22. again and mount it. And of course you will loose all your data ;-(
  23.  
  24. By the way it is no problem to add an additional disk to the rootvg.

  26. We run AIX 3.1 :-(
