- I want to implement a checkpointing procedure for programs so that I can
- recover from system crashes by rolling back to my last checkpoint and
- continuing on with my calculations. Specifically, I would like to checkpoint
- the process/program's core image to disk periodically and to be able to
- restart from that core image on disk when necessary. Has anyone implemented
- something like this for the RS6000 AIX? (e.g. Something like the saveimage.c
- routines used by the BSD CAD tools on Sun's and Vaxen.)

- Thanks much,
