- We have a network of RS/6000 Model 220's and the user passwords
- are stored using NIS. There is a total of 7 valid user accounts
- other than the root account. Only 4 of the 7 users can log in.
- These 4 users have UID's between 75-78, but the other 3 users
- have UID's between 2000-4000. When they try to log in through a
- telnet session or directly on the console they get the following
- message:
-
- 3004-010 Failed setting terminal ownership and mode.
-
- All the users belong to the same groups. Any ideas? Thanks in
- advance.
