- We had a similiar problem when we installed 3.2.2.

- IBM did the incredible thing of removing calls from libC.a. Ack!

- Recompiling xdm fixed it.

- I bet you are using the X11R5 xdm. It will NOT work properly under
- 3.2.2 because of the above problem.

- The calls missing from the "new and improved" libc are the crypt and
- decrypt calls. This broke a bunch of our other software, too.
