  34. The only time I have seen this is when there was some device (other than
  35. an ASCII head) attached to the S1 serial port.  In my case it was a modemr.
  36. When the machine was configuring, it tried to talk to the modem and the
  37. modem tried to talk back.  This confused the machine and made it seem that
  38. the modem was the primary console.  Disconect any devices on S1 and try again.
