- We're running SunOS 4.1.1.
-
- When anyone from outside our domain tries to ftp or talk to our
- Suns, they get "login failed" and "waiting for invitation from
- host" messages, respectively. My guess is that inetd just isn't
- starting the ftpd and talkd daemons when it's supposed to.
- (I haven't tried telneting in, but I know that fingering works.)
-
- Any ideas about what's wrong and how to fix it?
-
- (I'll admit that I only had a chance to glance through the
- manual about ftp, but I didn't notice anything that was obviously
- wrong with the setup.)
