  12. I have been asked to provide a network-based backup service for the approx.
  13. 200 Mac and DOS PCs and UNIX workstations (SUN/HP/SGI) on our ethernet and am
  14. looking for a reliable and easy to manage solution.  The Macs have MacTCP
  15. installed and the PCs use PC-NFS.  The server is envisioned to be SUNOS based
  16. with an 8mm stacker and software that is simple enough that our operator would
  17. be able to manage the day to day aspects of the service including the addition
  18. or deletion of clients.  The client software should be all-but-invisible to
  19. the users.

  21. So far, I've identified SM-arch (Software Moguls@612-933-8790) as a potential
  22. candidate (except for a lack of support for SGI.)  I'm looking for suggestions
  23. and comments from anyone with experience with SM-arch or similar products.
