  12. I just finished moving a company over to a Data General
  13. Aviion 5225, and am having more than a little trouble in
  14. getting the dial out modems to drop the line properly.

  16. The system is running DGUX 5.4.2, and the dial out modems
  17. are both Hayes 9600 Optimas.  I have them set to monitor
  18. DTR and perform a reset (&D3), but when I call out and then
  19. try to drop the line with a "~." the modem doesn't hang up...
  20.  
  21. I am using 8 conductor flatwire, and have confirmed that the
  22. DB25's on the host and modem are properly wired using a tone
  23. generator.  (Confirmed twice!)

  25. Anybody have any ideas??
