- Hello,
-
- My school is about to connect to the Internet. I am helping in Unix
- administration and I need some hints about mail admin.
-
- The provider of the IP connectivity (called INRIA) charges us for traffic
- outside of France via a fixed quota of 500 Mbytes (costing $x per Mb) and
- additional costs for each Mbyte over 500 Mb (costing about 1000 times
- more). So WE DONT WANT TO REACH THE 500 MB QUOTA.
-
- Direct IP access and ftp access will be limitated to a group of users (but
- a pool of 'well known package' will exist and be avaiable for everyone.
- We do want mail available for everyone BUT ftp-servers (archive servers,
- etc.) are accessible by mail and can generate a lot of traffic.
-
- DOES anyone has a set of utilities (programs, sendmail patches, etc.)
- doing accounting and limitations.
-
- Thanks for any help,
