  13. I have the C language source files for TeX made by web2c tweaked to compile
  14. with the MS-DOS gcc compiler.  The resulting initex and virtex run maybe a
  15. little faster than the 16 bit versions of TeX (sbtex and emtex) but have the
  16. full capacity of Unix TeX. They run only on 386 or 486 machines and require
  17. the go32 DOS extender supplied with gcc.

  19. If you want these source files use anonymous ftp to ftp.math.psu.edu and look
  20. in directory pub/melvin/pctex. Get the files read.me read.me2, and tex.zip.
  21. initex.exe, virtex.exe, tex.pool, set-tex.bat are the executables.
