- I have the C language source files for TeX made by web2c tweaked to compile
- with the MS-DOS gcc compiler. The resulting initex and virtex run maybe a
- little faster than the 16 bit versions of TeX (sbtex and emtex) but have the
- full capacity of Unix TeX. They run only on 386 or 486 machines and require
- the go32 DOS extender supplied with gcc.
-
- If you want these source files use anonymous ftp to ftp.math.psu.edu and look
- in directory pub/melvin/pctex. Get the files read.me read.me2, and tex.zip.
- initex.exe, virtex.exe, tex.pool, set-tex.bat are the executables.
