- no, i don't think so, and furthermore, i think it's not generally
- possible. this reduction will have the effect of giving you a
- resolution of about 360dpi, which is still not particularly high.

- a word of advice though. when using metafonted fonts, *don't* use
- "true" size fonts. *do* use magnified fonts -- \magstep 1 is exactly
- what you want. better still, use a style that can be magnified as a
- unit to \magstep 1, so that baselines and other internal dimensions
- remain in the proper relationships to one another. this is the real
- reason that magnified fonts were created -- not to get bigger sizes.
