  18. The replies I received all specified how to do this using the Catalog feature.

  20. Aside from the obvious steps (creating the catalog, creating the shared
  21. component in the catalog with "contents shared" set, and copying that component
  22. into the other documents) the key step that I had missed on my own attempts
  23. was (thank you Guenter!) "Locate the Catalog icon BEFORE all of the other
  24. icons in the book!

  29. Anne Tice correctly pointed me to the "on-line help Tool" that can be loaded
  30. through the tool manager (Active Reference) for Interleaf 5.
