- Hi. I have a large software application installed on my
- system from Cadence Design Systems. It is a IC design tool
- and all documentation is online in Frame format. When
- using the tool, I can click on a HELP icon at anytime. This
- fires up Frame Viewer and opens the correct document to the
- correct page (hyper tags are passed via remote procedure calls).
- The problem is I have been unable to use Frame Viewer from
- outside the Cadence tool framework. Viewer starts up but
- immediately reports: "viewer: unable to get a license". If I
- set the FRAMEUSERSD_HOST environment variable to a host in our
- office with Frame MAKER licenses, I get a useable Frame MAKER.
- My questions:
-
- Is Frame Viewer licensed? Where is the license file?
- Is it possible to use viewer as I wish? What's the trick?
