- In a word... YES... The memory on most of the laptops,
- portables and notebooks is a little different from that in a
- normal machine... Low power requirements for one thing... You
- can trust Tandy that if one of their products would do the job
- of another one, they would just sell that one... Since we sell
- both the 1800hd upgrade kit, AND SIMMs (normal ones) The
- upgrade kit is definitely DIFFERENT. The memory is probably
- smaller as well... Incidentally, the 1800HD is a great
- machine... ESPECIALLY at the closeout price...
