  12. In a word... YES... The memory on most of the laptops,
  13. portables and notebooks is a little different from that in a
  14. normal machine... Low power requirements for one thing... You
  15. can trust Tandy that if one of their products would do the job
  16. of another one, they would just sell that one... Since we sell
  17. both the 1800hd upgrade kit, AND SIMMs (normal ones) The
  18. upgrade kit is definitely DIFFERENT. The memory is probably
  19. smaller as well... Incidentally, the 1800HD is a great
  20. machine... ESPECIALLY at the closeout price...
