- I got a 600ft 1/4inch tape that is giving me media errors
- half way through the tape. The tape drive is rst0 on
- a Sun Sparc 1.
-
- I've tried using the non-rewinding device driver /dev/nrst0
- and mt to space pass the error to rescue the rest of the
- data after the error but the tape drive refuses to go
- pass it and rewinds automatically on the I/O error.
-
- Since the files are only stored sequentially the rest of
- them must be alright. But how do I get them back? Any
- help from you guys would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
