  38. Sparc Server Manager has been replaced by a product called Online
  39. DiskSuite. This is
  40. a software mirroring solution which will run on a SS2 under 4.1.2 -
  41. 4.1.3. It provides
  42. full disk mirroring of root and swap and any data disks.

  44. It supports mirroring, concatination and stripeing. It supports UFS and
  45. raw partitions
  46. and is fully transparent to applications.

  48. Online DiskSuite is faster than Sparc Server Manager, less overhead on
  49. writes (10 %) 
  50. and a performance gain on reads. It also allows better disk syncroniztion than
  51. SParc Server Manager did.
