  16. I have developed a few toy application in XView using the Guide tool,
  17. but I have some problems with the notify routines.

  19. I am mainly running Open Look v3.0 under the SunOs 4.1.2 on a IPC sun.

  21. The first problem is with the notify interposer. It seems to work for
  22. a while and then it quits. Either it looses the information about the
  23. interposing function or it looses information about what events should
  24. be consumed and which should not. (Is there any other possibility?).

  26. The second problem is with the notify_set_wait3_function. This is in a
  27. different toy application. I copied the example "Reaping Dead
  28. Processes" (Volume 7 "Xview Programming Manual", Dan Heller, page
  29. 377-378) and implemented it into my application. It does not even call
  30. the function that should be notified when the children dies.

  33. Has anyone encountered any of these problems? If you need more
  34. information to solve this riddle; I can mail or post it.
