- Not so for us little people.... I would love to have a SPARCanything,
- but machines > $3000 are beyond my reach. Another small detail, if one must
- yet buy the OS, compilers,etc..., how much is enough?

- A comparison to the South Dakota Co. is fine, although for low
- bottom users, even that place is "too classy" (read expensive).

- A bottom price PC runs about $1500 with a 200 meg drive (386 CPU). I can get a
- _free_ bsd-like OS thru the net. Compilers, TeX, X11, etc, etc, etcetera.

- If SUN wants to capture the high end PC market, they have a good
- product. Just don't expect home sales, or sales to students until they lower
- their prices a tad more.
