  13. After posting some entries from an SBus product listing in comp.arch I got a
  14. lot of requests for the full list. This seems like the most appropriate
  15. newsgroup for a large posting on Sun hardware.

  17. The list is several months old, but it is the latest one that I have, there are

  327. SBus has seen a tremendous spurt of development activity since the last SBus
  328. Developers List was published in January, 1992.  With over 90 new SBus cards,
  329. there now total over 340 SBus cards available from 132 developers worldwide.
  330. One third of the developers are based outside the United States.
  331.  
  332. SBus is following the computer industry in turning towards graphics
  333. and multimedia applications and workgroup connectivity.  The greatest
  334. number of new SBus applications come in the graphics area.  Networking
  335. and communications follows, with several new products enabling direct high-
  336. speed inter-machine connectivity.  The greatest percentage increase in SBus
  337. applications occur in the digital signal processing/audio-voice-speech areas,
  338. with several applications directly related to telecommunications.
  339.  
  340. A list of known SBus products available (or soon to be) is attached.  This
  341. listing does not represent all SBus projects under development.  It includes
  342. only those vendors who have authorized Sun to make their projects known.
