- I am trying to understand the merits and demerits of master vs slave
- ethernet SBUS card. Originally all of the ethernet cards were built as
- bus masters; now Sun has come out with an ethernet/SCSI card which is a
- slave. Apparently, this has been done for higher performance.

- Does anybody have any detailed or even back of the envelope type of
- calculations which would show the merit/demerit of either approach?
- What are the reasons which would make one approach superior to another?
