- The serial ports (including kbd/mouse) on my 3/140 seem to have
- stopped working. When I power up I get a message saying that the
- keyboard can't be found, and that it's using port A for input. Also,
- port A doesn't seem to be working, either after the boot or during a
- diag mode powerup/self test. All that I get is garbage. I've tried
- reseating chips/boards/connectors to no avail. It seems to have dies
- while running overnight (it's left on continuously).
-
- Another question while I'm here. The video sync generator seems to
- die if the ambient temp of the room gets much over 75 F (This is a
- home machine and we had a few hot days last summer). Is this common?
