- I would like to connect an HP Laserjet IIP to an x-terminal that is connected
- to our sparc2. I'm trying to get NeWSprint to do all of the processing and
- then send a file to the x-terminal. It looks pretty simple to have an HP
- connected to the sun, but I need to call a shell script that reads stdin
- and sends the file to the x-terminal via tftp. I know the shellscript alone
- works.
-
- I've modified the engine_ctl_HP.c to write to a temporary file and I've
- modified npcomm.sh to call my x-terminal script, but when I try to lpr
- a simple ascii file, my sun hangs.
-
- I think the problem may have something to do with NeWSprint trying to
- access the device /dev/bpp0. I changed the the printcap entry to be
- /dev/hdsVS-1. I don't know where file descriptor 1 is being reassigned
- to the device.
-
- I'm out of ideas. Please help!
