  20. I'm confused.  You must be running an ancient version of Pcomm.  Pcomm
  21. has run on all Sun platforms without modification for the last few
  22. years.  My "main" machine is now a Sun IPC (soon to be IPX), and I use
  23. it to develop and run Pcomm.

  25. If you have a "modern" version of Pcomm, all you have to do is follow
  26. the instructions in the Readme file, edit the config.h and Makefile,
  27. compile, and presto... you're up and running.

  29. The current version of Pcomm is v2.0.2 (meaning version 2.0 at patch
  30. level 2).

  32. Pcomm v2.0 was sent to the moderator of comp.sources.unix on 20 Jul 92,
  33. but I've given up hope that it will appear there any time soon.  Patches
  34. 1 and 2 where posted to comp.sources.bugs.

  36. Unfortunately, my normal archive site is down (and probably won't be
  37. back, at least not for that purpose), so I've placed the code in the
  38. /tmp/pcomm directory on ftp.uu.net.
