- We are running HDB uucp to talk to our mail and news feed site. Is
- there an elegant way to tell uucp to poll at fixed intervals,
- regardless of the completion status of the previous poll? The
- scheduler has the annoying habit of stretching out the recall interval
- when calls fail. I know that I can remove the status file to force
- faster recalls. Should I automate this with cron or by hacking the
- uucp scripts, or is there a better method to use?
-
- Yes, I did RTFM. The man pages and the Sun System and Network Admin
- manual don't say much about polling and scheduling.
-
- Details: SS2, HDB uucp, SunOS 4.1.1.
-
- Please reply by email. I will summarize. Thanks in advance.
